thoughts about the iPhone 4G/HD

Hmm, I’m a little bit confused at the moment. A couple of weeks ago you were able to see pictures of the upcoming iPhone. Ok, everytime apple announce a new product or they will be propably a new product, there is a lot of discussion in the community. A lot of people build mock-ups, are creative with PS (or something else). But at the moment there are really strange stories. A man went to a bar, drunk some beer and forgot an iPhone prototype? … think about it … I did and I can’t believe it.
And what happende today? …. you can see new pictures and a video on engadget.com from vietnam. Yes, from vietnam. It seems that there is another prototype of the upcoming iPhone 4G/HD.
Sorry, but I’m not able to understand how this could happen. Sorry, what’s this? A new apple marketing strategy? Or just a concatenation of mysterious events?

hmm … well. Today is the 2nd april ; Tomorrow , on 3rd april, the apple iPad will be available for purchase. I’m really interested in the first user-experience impression. Unfortunately I’ve to wait for first hands-on, cause I live in germany. Damn, I didn’t finish my iPad-app and at the moment my day is fully loaded with university-stuff; so I can’t participate on the new app-gold-rush. Damn

goodbye iPhone 3G
… these days my iPhone decided to cut one’s own path. Well, if we’re realistic there is no real multi-tasking on the device. After less than 1 day I needed a power socket to charge my black beauty.
K, you got me … I miss my iPhone but I think I’ll not buy a iPhone 3G / 3GS anymore. Perhaps the upcoming iPhone 4G will fullfill my requirements. At the moment I use my old Motorola F3.
What kind of smartphone/mobile phone I want now? Any suggestions? If yes please drop me some lines in the comments.

Install CouchDB on Mac OS X
Yesterday I wrote a blog post about migrating Lotus/Domino to CouchDB. At the moment I’m totally interested in playing around with CouchDB on Mac OS X. Now I give you a short how-to for installing CouchDB on Mac OS X.
I describe you two different ways to install it via:
- macports
- pre-build installer
Install CouchDB via macports:
sudo port selfupdate
sudo port install couchdb
This may take some time
Install via package
If you don’t like macports, you can easy use the package from http://janl.github.com/couchdbx/ . It’s a double-click and be happy solution.
